What about the Carpark?

Have you ever been interest in car park?

No, certainly not, like all hotel maker, this is why they all regret that there car park are all :
- To dark
- Sinister - claustrophobic
- People are afraid about someone hide under one of this around ten box column
- not easy to find - People wonder where they can escape this horror?

Happily, I announce you that today things change and the architect and urban planner realise the importance of interior car park. That's a really good idea because to have a car park for an urban hotel, today is a nececity, and imagine that, if your hotel don't have any valet parking, the car park will be THE FIRST & LAST PLACE VISITED BY YOUR CLIENT in your hotel.

The first source of complaint is light. Let's try to use light colour as with or light grey, when dark light will absorb the light, with will reflect them.

New car park for la Défence, Paris all in with & grey, see better pics in Ideat magazine n°74

Any architect use the natural light:

Parc des Célestins at Lyon, Architects: Michael Targe, Jean-Michel Wilmotte & Daniel Buren.
The Car park turn under a central column open on the sky, that's remind a mirror image of the Pise tower.

The use of art, in this project, Michael Targe is an artist, he had the great idea to put a giant mirror who turn in the depths of the central column.

Transparency of the circulation for people, to make feel in security (lift, stairs, vertical circulations)

Austria, architects: Michael Szyszkowitz & Karia Kowalski

Over mind for your hotel car park, think that they have to be welcoming, easy to find, and with a good intern directional display. Don't hesitate to put music or, like Veolia, birds noises!

To finish, I want to present you the future of car park: the automatic car park.

You put your car in a place like a garage and it's done. When you want to bring your car it's keep only 2 minutes! Made by Wohr.
Please, be careful to not forget your children in your car!
